Wow, this has been the first morning this season that I have turned our heat on!
So this morning we started off with his daily morning milk, I do 1/4 oat milk and 3/4 Horizon cow milk. I really love this combo and I love those 2 brands..I'll post pictures I took from this morning of them.
He then had a single Fruitie pouch from Beech Nut, he got a little excited afterwards most likely as a result of the 14 grams of sugar but its all naturally occuring sugar, zero added. Within 10 minutes he was playing with his toy excavator nice and calm.
I heated up 4 patties of sausage from yesterday's breakfast and as soon I told him I had sausage for him he exclaimed "sausage!!" and came running in the kitchen, climbed up into one of the many chairs that surround the island and went to town chowing down! :)
He devoured almost a whole banana that he couldn't wait to get his hands on when I was cutting it up. Then off to play outside with this siblings; swinging on the swings, walking around and switching between driving his excavator and his sister's Jeep.
He's had one mini Reeses cup and several slices of Black Forest Ham. Now hes relaxing watching shows about different tools you use to work on machinery with. My little motor head in the making!
We have so far been able to avoid any artificial dyes this morning and it's alost noon. He hasn't had any tantrums and he's been very calm and listening well.
Sunday, September 25th
Yesterday we all went to this cute park with so many little things for the kids to play on and do. It wasn't too crowded which is always nice for this homeschool mama that isn't crazy about possibly having sick kids. My kids still made friends and played, had a grand ol' time.
My 2 year old who inspired me to look more into the subject and issue of artifical food dyes was super calm and cautious around the other kids. He literally didn't get into the sand box until he was the only kid there! 🤣 However when he was around the other kids he played on the outside of the sandbox and played well with them.
Out of nowhere he decided he wanted the bulldozer this little boy had and he would stop at nothing to acquire this new piece of plastic! The child wouldn't hand over the goods, so they were swiftly taken right out of his hands. I approached the situation explaining how we can not take other people's things, my son was not having this explanation and put up a spicy fight. I carefully peeled his hands off the plastic replica, handed it back to the child and redirected mine to an even coolor bulldozer.
Less than 10 minutes passed and he spotted his coveted piece of machinery only feet from him and no longer in the posseion of anyone else; he approaches with caution scoping out his surroundings. He paused, looked at the former owner of the toy playing with something else and he then gently took the bulldozer and proceeded to sit down and scoop up sand and put it in the back of a plastic box truck.
Needless to say I felt proud of the whole interaction as a whole; the other child happy, my child happy and Mama bear happy we contiued to have a beautiful Saturday adventure. We stayed about 3 hours and on the way home everyone got a healthy nap. It was just one of those goood days!

Your such a smart and wonderful Mom to realize what sugar was doing to your son. Glad you started this blog and can maybe help other parents out.
